영국의 아카데미 시상식으로 영국 영화와 영화인들을 따로 시상하는 부문이 있다는 것이 특징이다. 2000년에 BRITISH ACADEMY OF FILM AND TELEVISION ARTS에서 The Orange British Academy Film Award(BAFTA Awards)로 이름이 바뀌었으며 오스카 시상식 전인 매년 2월에 수상작을 발표하고 있다.
