1. 피나 코 테카 디 브레라-밀라노 Pinacoteca di Brera - Milano
우피치 미술관에 버금가는 이탈리아 회화의 보고로 알려진 브레라 미술관은 ‘피나코테카(회화관)’라고도 불린다. 주로 롬바르디아파와 베네치아파를 중심으로 하는 북부 이탈리아 르네상스 회화의 걸작을 소장하고 있다. 팔라초 브레라 2층에 위치하고 있으며, 1층은 미술 학교인 브레라 아카데미가 사용하고 있다. 밀라노의 루브르를 만들고자 했던 나폴레옹 1세의 지원 하에 1809년에 갤러리를 개관한 것이 브레라 미술관의 시작이다.
천 점이 넘는 소장품 중에서도 조반니 벨리니의 <피에타(Pietà)>, 틴토레토의 <성 마르코 주검의 발견(The Finding of the Body of Saint Mark)>, 라파엘로의 <성모 마리아의 결혼(The Marriage of the Virgin)> 등이 특히 유명하다. 만테냐의 걸작인 <죽은 그리스도(The Dead Christ and Three Mourners)>도 이곳에 소장되어 있는데, 원근법과 독특한 구도를 사용한 섬세한 묘사가 보는 이의 감탄을 자아낸다. 신고전주의에서 낭만주의로의 이행에 결정적인 역할을 했다고 평가되는 밀라노 낭만주의 화가 하예즈의 대표작 <키스(The Kiss)>도 놓치지 말고 감상하자.
매달 세 번째 일요일에는 브레라 미술관 앞에서 브레라 벼룩시장이 열리므로 관심 있는 사람은 들러보자. 장난감, 디자인 용품 등의 소품은 물론 그림이나 앤티크 가구 등 흥미를 끄는 물건이 많다. [네이버 지식백과]
